In 2010, Thom White co-founded Work Program Architects, where he currently leads a team united by a shared passion for community-focused collaboration, placemaking, and innovative design. He has built a reputation for excellence across a range of project types and has developed a specialty in designing K–12 educational facilities and performing arts spaces. He serves as a board member at the Hermitage Museum and Gardens in Norfolk and the AIA Coastal Virginia Chapter, and he is an active volunteer and contributor to the NEON Arts District and the 757 Makerspace in Norfolk and Hampton Roads. He also serves as a board member for the Norfolk Innovation Corridor.
