Matthew “Pete” Price is a landscape architect and founding principal of Fall Line LLC, a Richmond, Virginia–based design practice focused on higher education and urban environments. With nearly 20 years of experience, his work explores the relationship between space, experience, and human behavior, and how design influences how people feel and interact with the built environment.

Since founding Fall Line in 2019, he has been intentionally shaping the practice around a culture of integration—recognizing that design is influenced not only by external conditions such as site, program, and constraint, but also by internal factors including perception, expectation, and fear. Within the studio, these ideas are explored openly and carried into collaboration with clients and fellow design professionals.

His work is grounded in the belief that greater awareness of these influences—both internal and external—can expand our capacity to create with intention, authenticity, and purpose, ultimately contributing to a more meaningful and connected built environment.
