Quan Thai (OAA, Assoc. AIA) is an architect, educator, and founder of NeverOnly Architecture. Currently an Assistant Professor in Architecture at Lawrence Technological University, he was the inaugural Emerging Practitioner Teaching Fellow at the University of Waterloo (2023–25). Thai’s practice is grounded in a decade of international experience at firms like WORKac and SvN. As curator of TO·BE·LONGING: Portraits of Queer Living, he explores how queer identity challenges normative models of housing. His work emphasizes participatory design and advocacy, partnering with groups like The 519 and the Toronto Society of Architects to create spaces of safety and joy. Thai holds degrees from the University of Waterloo and McGill University.
