Wesley L. Page, FAIA, ASAI, is a design principal, illustrator and author with Hanbury, a national design and planning firm. Over a 40-year career as a designer and architectural illustrator Page has used his artist ’s hand to elevate development of the design process and product and to advocate nationally for drawing as a still critical design tool in the digital age.

Focused on colleges and universities, Wesley has, through his drawings, promoted the understanding of planning and architectural options, allowing campus constituents to visualize potential outcomes and comprehend the context of an architectural opportunity. His illustration work has garnered numerous national and international awards and been published and displayed regularly in juried shows across the United States and abroad.

He has long been a vocal advocate and lecturer promoting nationally hand drawing’s continued relevance and value. Page’s book ‘Every Picture Tells a Story’, a monograph exploring the relevance of hand drawing in the digital age, will be released in early fall 2026.
