Lauren Bailey, AIA, CID, is a Project Manager in Planning and Design within Facilities Management at Virginia Commonwealth University. With more than a decade of experience at VCU, she leads complex capital projects that support teaching, learning, research, and student success across campus.

Lauren brings an architectural background and a collaborative, stakeholder-driven approach to her work, engaging faculty, students, and staff to shape environments that respond to evolving academic needs. Her projects emphasize flexibility, safety, and inclusive design, ensuring spaces support a wide range of users and learning modalities.

She has contributed to campus-wide initiatives including sustainability planning and has presented nationally on evidence-based design and post-occupancy evaluation, helping advance practices that connect design intent with measurable outcomes.
