Gerrie has over thirty years of planning and architectural design experience including community master planning and design and construction administration of cultural projects, commercial and municipal facilities, K-12 schools, and residential projects.

Throughout her years as a Virginia Beach Resort Advisory Commissioner, serving on its Planning and Design Review Committee, and collaborating with Neighborhood Civic Leagues on Land Use issues, she has worked to incorporate environmentally efficient land-use criteria into the City’s development and decision-making processes.

Gerrie holds a Master’s Degree in Architecture and a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design, both from Virginia Tech. A life-long resident of Coastal Virginia, she integrates green building, environmental advocacy- and gardening!- into every aspect of her life.
