In this session, attendees will explore the brilliant contributions of Black Architects and start conversations that help situate their experiences in the larger framework of American and world history. It's a productive way to help designers grapple with complex questions and topics and to inspire them to make architecture that tells their own unique stories. This includes mitigating the erasure of modern architectural sites by Black architects and designers by telling their stories in more lasting, robust, and creative ways to promote sustainability, resilience, and historic conservation in the built environment for social and judicial equity through transformation.
