This seminar reframes the built environment as a critical tool for social and environmental repair, emphasizing its role in supporting identity, collective memory, and long-term community resilience. Drawing on comparative case studies and interdisciplinary frameworks, it demonstrates how value-inclusive design (VID) can operationalize restorative economics by integrating cultural, social, and ecological priorities into the design process. Rather than focusing solely on technical performance, the approach highlights the importance of equity, cultural continuity, and local empowerment.
