Speaker Bio
Matt Pearson has, over the course of his career, dedicated himself to conceiving and realizing designs that stir his passions for craftsmanship and meaning. Having championed many award-winning projects, both nationally and internationally, Matt understands and fully engages in the entire project process, bringing skill in detailing to supplement his intuitive design sensibilities. Matt received his bachelor’s degree from Virginia Tech, and is a member of the AIA, and the Royal Institute of British Architects. Influenced by living abroad and his architectural studies in Switzerland, Matt is passionate about buildings that exhibit well-crafted details and forms. His work pushes on the use of current technology, while integrating local histories and cultures. While facile in many project types, Matt’s design of monuments has led him to his first project in France, and this is where our story takes us today. Since the completion of this project in 2024 Matt has lectured at N.C. State, Virginia Tech, the 3M Association of Cary/Raleigh North Carolina, and the Steger Center for International Scholarship in Switzerland, and has been interviewed by several news syndicates.
