Speaker Bio
Quinton Mason is a designer who engages with the intersection of community, identity, and spatial justice. With over five years of experience in multifamily housing, civic, and cultural projects, he is committed to creating inclusive environments that foster connection and resilience. His recent research, Black Home Archive, is a visual and oral history project that documents Black domestic spaces to define a Black design vernacular and center marginalized voices in the architectural narrative. Quinton serves on the AIA Virginia J.E.D.I. Committee, Virginia NOMA, and the Young Architects Forum planning committee, where he advocates for equity and emerging professionals in the field. His work blends storytelling, research, and design to challenge traditional architectural frameworks and uplift underrepresented communities. Through both practice and advocacy, Quinton brings a community-first, interdisciplinary lens to the design of spaces that reflect and sustain the people they serve.
