Since joining William Rawn Associates nearly 28 years ago, Samuel Lasky has focused on complex institutional projects such as the Radford University Artis Center for Adaptive Innovation and Creativity. His contribution to the public realm can be powerfully seen in projects across a remarkable variety of building types - projects that have received over 75 awards, including 13 national level AIA Awards. Samuel’s commitment to the public realm began with early work for Habitat for Humanity and with Manna, a non-profit housing developer in Washington DC. Samuel believes passionately in immersing himself in the history, culture, and ethos of a place or an institution. It is from this immersion that he has found opportunities for innovation across civic, cultural, arts and educational projects.
