This seminar will survey a dozen legal cases decided in 2023 and 2024 involving, and affecting, architects and engineers from across the country, focusing on identify “lessons learned” from those cases to identify for design professionals effective risk management strategies and professional practices to avoid claims. Specifically, the program will review cases involving a number of issues affecting the health, safety, and welfare of the public. From the cases reviewed, this seminar will identify practical steps design professionals may implement in their practice to enhance the quality of their services in advancing the goals of protecting the health, safety, and welfare of the general public.
