Mia Gilliam graduated with a Bachelor of Architecture from Virginia Tech and has worked in the industry for twenty years. Fifteen of those years she has worked alongside engineers at Wiley Wilson. In November 2020, Wiley Wilson started the DEI Resource Group where Mia was the chair through 2022.
