She earned a Bachelor of Science in Architecture, a Bachelor of Arts in Art History, a Master of Architecture, and a Certificate in Historic Preservation, all from the University of Maryland. Katie plays a pivotal role at Quinn Evans, serving as the External Leader for the Heritage Practice Area. In this capacity, she is responsible for positioning the practice for success, driving business development efforts, nurturing emerging leaders, and fostering collaboration across various practice areas and regions. Her unique strength lies in her ability to approach projects with a multi-disciplinary perspective, thanks to her dual licensure as an architect and interior designer. Her projects focus on a research-based approach, renewing historic elements while enhancing functionality, often incorporating contemporary elements that seamlessly complement the existing historical fabric.
