Through her education and professional endeavors, Bethany has pursued Architecture & Technology, a combination that fuels her passion for providing specialized technology solutions tailored to the unique needs of the AEC industry. Over the years, she has worked with several architectural firms in various roles, including designer, architectural intern, CAD manager, BIM manager and BIM specialist. She is committed to implementing technology practices and workflows that support efficiency and productivity.

Bethany is the founder of the Charlottesville Revit User Group and serves as co-chair of the Technology in Architecture Practice committee for AIA Central Virginia.

Her journey began with AutoCAD and AutoCAD Architecture (formerly known as Architectural Desktop), but her expertise now extends to Revit and BIM. Valuable experiences teaching at a local community college as well as attending industry events like Autodesk University and Revit Inside the Factory sparked her interest in facilitating knowledge sharing across the profession.

With a focus on advancing technology adoption in the AEC industry, Bethany has championed the use of technology since 2002, when she founded her consulting business. In her current role as Director of Design Technology at VMDO, she leads BIM implementation on all projects and advocates for staff development by providing opportunities for learning and skill-building in design technologies through mentorship, training and the creation of customized resources.
