Dr. Harris, a Visiting Assistant Professor in the Department of Architecture and Urban Sustainability (DAUS), is an advocate for value-inclusive design practices and recently completed his Doctorate in Urban Leadership and Entrepreneurship (ULAE), focusing on urban sustainability and resilience. He has been recognized with several honors, including the CAUSES Aspiration Award, the Clarence Pearson Award, the Jason Pettigrew Memorial ARE Scholarship, and the 2024 OTJ Licensure Scholarship for Black Architects & Designers. At DAUS, Professor Harris teaches both undergraduate and graduate courses, including History and Theory of Architecture, CAD, Documentation, Specification, Estimating, Urban and Community Design, and Professional Ethics & Practice. He holds a Master of Architecture from the University of the District of Columbia and a Master of Fine Arts in Interior Architecture and Design from George Washington University. In addition, he is an active member of the AIA, NOMA, SSAC, and BAIDA and advocates for social equity and inclusion in academia and professional practice, which contributes to green city initiatives and inclusive leadership in urban transformation. Dr. Harris is a dedicated Philadelphia Eagles supporter, a seasoned world traveler, connoisseur of sushi and international cuisine, and an amateur musician who enjoys creative expression beyond his professional work.
