Dr. Eric Harris is a Visiting Assistant Professor and holds a Doctorate in Urban Leadership and Entrepreneurship, focusing on urban resilience, and his work centers on social equity, value-inclusive design, and sustainable urban transformation. He has been recognized with several honors, including the CAUSES Aspiration Award, the Clarence Pearson Award, the Jason Pettigrew Memorial ARE Scholarship, and the 2024 OTJ Licensure Scholarship for Black Architects & Designers. At DAUS, Professor Harris teaches both undergraduate and graduate courses, including History and Theory of Architecture, CADD Documentation, Specification, Estimating, Urban and Community Design, Introduction to the Built Environment, and Professional Ethics & Practice. He earned a Master of Architecture from The University of the District of Columbia and a Master of Fine of Arts in Interior Architecture and Design from George Washington University.
