The "toolkit" is a chance to learn and draw with three friendly experienced Urban Sketchers whose contrasting styles and approaches will serve to equip and inspire you to do more sketching on your own! As urban sketching is about capturing the spirit and appearance of places and experiences, it has wide appeal to architects and designers who find application in their work of designing places and benefit from development of the observation and documentation skills involved. Andrew Moore, Jessie Chapman and Charles Piper will share an introduction to plein air sketching, a variety of techniques and approaches to quick and effective sketching and a primer on typical materials and equipment. Weather influencing, we'll take an hour and a half to try out our skills in Richmond's urban center!
