Gina Robinson brings over 15 years of experience to her current role as Project Designer with HDR in Arlington, Virginia. Though the first years of her career through the Great Recession were challenging, she worked in Charlotte, NC, and Suzhou, China, before settling in Northern Virginia in 2014. Since joining HDR, she has come to specialize in public sector projects, working with large, multidisciplinary teams on complex deliverables. Gina has been involved with AIA Virginia since 2015 and currently serves as the Architect Licensing Advisor for the Commonwealth. Her background and early career obstacles led her become a mentor and advocate, with a focus on increasing diversity in the profession and transparent communication with emerging professionals as they begin their careers in architecture.
